The IMO Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction held its sixth session at IMO headquarters in London, United Kingdom, February 4-8, 2019. Representatives from the US Coast Guard’s Office of Design & Engineering Standards led the US delegation, comprised of members from the Coast Guard, US Navy, US Department of State, and technical advisors from the private sector. This post provides a summary of the discussions and Sub-committee’s decisions.
