Safety Zone, Kahanamoku Beach, Honolulu, HI

The Coast Guard is proposing to establish a temporary safety zone for certain waters of the Kahanamoku Beach. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters near Honolulu, HI, during a drone show display at various times on August 13 through August 18, 2024. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit, during the enforcement periods, persons and vessels from entering the safety zone unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Honolulu or a designated representative. We invite your comments on this proposed rulemaking.

Safety Zone; Hemingway Paddleboard Race, Key West, FL

The Coast Guard will enforce a safety zone for the Hemingway Paddleboard Race, Key West, Florida to provide for the safety of life on the navigable waterways during this event. This action is necessary to ensure the safety of event participants and spectators. During the enforcement period, no person or vessel may enter, transit through, anchor in, or remain within the regulated area without approval from the Captain of the Port Key West or a designated representative.

Safety Zone; Green River, Calhoun, KY

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters of the Green River from Mile Marker 61 to 62 in Calhoun, KY. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a power line replacement due to unstable powerline poles. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Ohio Valley.

Safety Zone; Upper Mississippi River Mile Markers 219.5 to 218.5 Grafton, IL

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the Mississippi River from mile marker (MM) 219.5 to 218.5 near Grafton, IL. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created by a Missouri National Guard training event near Grafton, IL. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Upper Mississippi River.

Safety Zone; Captain of the Port Corpus Christi, TX

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for all navigable waters of the Captain of the Port Zone from the Mexico/US Border north to the Colorado Locks as defined in 33 CFR 3.40-35. This safety zone is being established to safeguard vessels, ports and waterfront facilities from damage due to Hurricane Beryl. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Corpus Christi, or a designated representative.

Safety Zones; Annual Fireworks Displays Within the Captain of the Port, Puget Sound Area of Responsibility-Dyes Inlet

The Coast Guard will enforce a safety zone near Dyes Inlet, WA for an annual firework display in the Captain of the Port, Sector Puget Sound area of responsibility on July 26, 2024, to provide for the safety of life on navigable waterways during this event. Our regulation for marine events within the Thirteenth Coast Guard District identifies the regulated area for this event near Dyes Inlet, WA. No vessel operator may enter, transit, moor, or anchor within the safety zone, except for vessels authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Puget Sound or a Designated Representative.
