The Coast Guard announced in the Federal Register that it is extending the comment period by 45 days for the notice of proposed rulemaking, “Updates to Marine Engineering Standards,” published on October 19, 2021, which proposes to incorporate by reference updated marine engineering standards and eliminate outdated or unnecessarily prescriptive regulations.
