The Coast Guard is proposing to establish a temporary special local regulation for certain waters of the Cayuga Lake. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters near Ithaca, NY, during a marine event on August 10, 2024. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from transiting the area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Eastern Great Lakes or a designated representative.
